That’s normal for high-density PVA material. It hardens when dry to help keep the sponge cleaner and more hygienic. Simply soak it in water for about 60 seconds, and it will become soft, flexible, and ready to use.
Rinse it thoroughly after every use and hang it to air dry. Because it dries firm, it is more hygienic than many traditional loofahs. With regular care, one sponge can stay in good condition for around 3–6 months.
